Radical Urbanism and the Revival of Civic Art
I was invited to participate in Charleston’s 39th PechaKucha event on June 7, 2022. PechaKucha, Japanese for “chit chat,” is a presentation style in which 20 slides are shown for 20 seconds each (6 minutes and 40 seconds in total). I was honored to participate with other presenters from a wide array of artistic, creative, and entrepreneurial disciplines.
My presentation, “Radical Urbanism and the Revival of Civic Art,” draws upon lessons from history and my own personal and professional experiences to argue for a recommitment to making the spaces we share in common more beautiful.
Check out my presentation below. You can also find my presentation along with the text narrative here.
